Studies have been done on South African teenagers' addiction to cell phones... but it seems like our adults are just as addicted.
A video of a Home Affairs official being pre-occupied with social media instead of helping a citizen has emerged on Facebook. In the video, which has gone viral, the official is wearing a black T-shirt, can be seen distractedly checking on a passport while focusing on her phone where a Facebook feed is open.
The official eventually completely focuses on scrolling through her Facebook feed and clumsily drops the passport. Malusi Gigaba, Minister of Home Affairs retweeted the video and he said he would ask his Department to investigate the issue and take actions against the official.
Cell phones should be banned in all work environment. If there's an emergency, call the work line and ask for the person you want. These gadgets are a distraction to everyone and prevent works from being done effectively and efficiently.

There'd be long cues outside waiting to be served by the very same people who are not committed on their jobs. Cell phones should definitely be banned in the working environment.

That's what people do these days, even our elders are always on their phones and do not want to be left out on the latest things in social media. We are all the same now, but as for this one who's suppose to be helping people, she needs to be taken to some hearing of some sorts to be reinded of her duties. Ngeke kaloku!!
